I decided to make my poetry public, officially! I'm writing a book "PhatGyrlzRule" coming soon...
My debut performance will be at Station9 the @ttic courtesy of BenyBlaq Entertainment, in the DMV area. I'm new to the poetry scene and this place just felt like a good spot to start. Hopefully, I'll make a good impression :-)

- PhatGyrl is a self proclaimed Nuyorican from the Bronx, her poetic style stems from her personal experiences. PhatGyrl, doesn't like to refer to herself as an artist because her writing style isn't as consistent as her peers but more like a random moment "I can only write, when I feel it." She attended the University of the District of Columbia majoring in Political Science with a minor in Business Technology. She's a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., awarded Competent Communicator (2008) by Toastmasters International and a representative of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity. Her first poetry book "PhatGyrlzRule-Image iz Everything" is due this year.
